I really don't know, but we ought to encourage people with his courage. His opponent may be a good senator or senate candidate.
More of a general "support people in our party willing to speak up" kind of endorsement!

I forgot to add the obvious: The U.S. Senate seat in Georgia is being vacated by retiring Zell Miller so there is no incumbent. This race will likely go to a run off. When it does, it goes national. The first African-American Republican senator in modern times and hes from the south.
When Herman Cain wins the Republican nomination, he will likely be against Democrat Denise Majette (another African-American). If there are any racists left in Georgia, they will stay home. Net result: a Reaganite Conservative Senator! I love it when a plan comes together! :)
