This isn't meant to be insulting, but you are misinformed. The "Jihad" against the US and the west has been going on for 1500 years. The most recent, notable resurgence in modern times started about 25-30 years ago. Just because you can recall peaceful interludes doesn't mean the Jihadists were at peace, they were just planning their next moves.

Bush had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11...that was Jihad against our country. The Hijackers trained and prepared for that mission during Clinton's term in office...and before that they tried to bring down the WTC with a truck bomb in the basement in 1993.

Islam is a demonic spiritual power that pushes the borders of its principality constantly...when it detects a weakness, it moves in. When it detects a forceful resistance, it bides its time and tries again and again to move in.

IMO, we as a Nation are blessed by God. But to believe the notion(as I think you do) that we can just sit on our butts and sing Hallelujah without taking any real world action to protect ourselves is irresponsible naivete, IMO.
