I agree 100%. It is ridiculous the way that the media has blown this issue out of proportion; I'm not saying what those soldiers did was good, but the humiliation that they put those prisoners through doesn't even compare with what saddam did. I am particularly disgusted by Ted Kennedy's remarks, it is like a slap across the face to the 130,000+ troops in Iraq that are actually doing a damn good job.

Clearly the media coverage of the prison "abuse" is overblown, not helpful, and done with an intent to politically hurt the administration.

Also, the coverage given the situation will prevent our troops from using legitimate pressure to break down intransigent prisoners. This may lead to short term reductions in intelligence which could be forthcoming.

Be that as it may, we still need to keep in focus that the U.S. is attempting to "win the hearts and minds" of these people. The people currently being incarcerated are not all terrorists, they are not all fanatic Islamists, they are not even all guilty. There is benefit to treating them as humanely as possible.

On the radio this morning a story was told that during the closing stages of WWII, elderly German parents would tell their sons to "be brave, get an assignment at the front, and surrender to the first American you encounter". This advice was based on the treatment received at the hands of Americans during WWI. The commentator reflected that this had saved Allied lives during the war. Such advice was based on the testimony of former German prisoners.

Islam shrinks the mind's potential to grasp morality and concepts of justice, fairness, balance, proportion, or to value life over death.

Being Arab and muslim is a double handicap; wherein both culture and religion offer bad guidance on morality.

A long World War epoch is underway. Shrinking from the battles and the war, only worsens the pathway through the troubling times.

American liberals offer no strength, and hide their heads in the sand. Leaders around the world KNOW that muslim terror is underway, but the US & coalition forces cnnot fight all battles at once.

Sudan, Philippines, Indonesia are under constant terror attacks.

Islam has started it. And it shall fail. Will it go nuclear?
