I am not sure it's for political reasons. I think it's more for American reasons. Let me explain. Last week, the US looked "bad" in the world's eyes. There was a young military woman pointing at a prisoner's crotch and laughing, etc, etc caught on film. Iraqis came out in droves to say what animals we all were. Now look at what we see. An unarmed civilian is being butchered in cold blood and it is somehow religiously GREAT! We frowned on the prison photos yes, but this type of act dwarfs that.
I see it as a defense of America to play this...though I wish I hadn't heard it... :(

Beyond a doubt. I'm just wondering if all the 'media/entertainment' types that have been using it for whatever purpose had the decency to get the okay from the family first. I doubt it seriously. They are using it for their own 'political' purpose and further violating an innocent American. Why/how is this any different from Ted Koppel? This is sleazy point making - for ratings.
