NEW YORK -- President Bush wasted international sympathy for the United States after the 2001 terrorist attacks by shifting from the search for Osama bin Laden to the ousting of Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, former President Clinton said Tuesday.
The move alienated many U.S. allies and created a false impression among Americans that Saddam had a key role in the al-Qaida-engineered terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, Clinton said. "I think the world was really pulling for us after 9-11," he said, but the Bush administration "divided the world ... to pursue our vision _ not because of any imminent threat but because that's what they wanted to do."

This from a skidmark that put fat intern blowjobs above his sworn duty to protect and defend this nation. Like Ted Kennedy giving anti-drunk driving and life saving lecture.

Uh - which came first, Billy? Afghanistan or Iraq?
Here's another leftist meme that simply won't die. It's amazing how they expect people to think that Iraq was given "priority" over Afghanistan, the Taliban, and Al Qaeda. Apparently, even the fact that the fourth dimension is -linear- escapes them.

Who says Bush "shifted" from Osama to Saddam? The shift occurred in the press. The Pentagon and CIA can walk and chew gum at the same time. They make it sound like because the current debate-of-the-minute was about Saddam, and the press was focused solely on Saddam, that the Administration was therefore focused solely on Saddam, which is obviously not the case.
Besides, Bush said in his September 20?, 2001 speech that much of this war on terror would go on behind the scenes, without anyone knowing about it.

I'm getting very damned sick and tired of people complaining that we haven't gone after Osama bin Laden. He is most likely in Pakistan - AND WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GO THERE.
Perhaps all of these critics should be enlisted in a "find Osama" brigade and shipped to western Pakistan. And perhaps Slick would like to be in charge.
The gutless bastard.
