As I explained in my reply #100,
I don't think the deplorable acts captured on the prison videos rise to the same horrific level as the decapitation. Furthermore, I think your tendency to equate the two is misguided and plays into the hand of the anti-war Islamo-sympathizers.
Did you read anything of my last post besides the first line you quoted?
How did I, "equate the two" other than to point out that the Iraqi videos were also "over the top"?
Your retort is analogous to saying that, just because a tape of Nicole Simpson getting her throat slashed would be worse, it is pefectly O.K. for CBS to broadcast photos of the Kobe Bryant rape in progress.
As I posted before:
The U.S. Army announced last January that there had been "cruelty and sexual abuse of detainees". The U.S. Army conducted a very thorough investigation and prosecutions were being prepared. The entire world did not need to see the inflammatory photos. That added absolutely nothing to the story.
The inflammatory nature of those photos created the media circus that the Islamists claimed was their justification for beheading Nick Berg.
I don't want CBS to actually air that video.
I do want CBS to be hoisted on it's own petard.
