I'm not getting this time line either. From what I read he was

• Detained by Iraqi police
• Turned over to US officials
• Dad complains he hasn't heard from him in a while
• He's released after 13 days (around May 6th)
• ??? was murdered

So he was killed between May 6th and today (May 11th)?

On April 5, the Bergs filed suit in federal court in Philadelphia, contending that their son was being held illegally by the U.S. military. The next day Berg was released. He told his parents he hadn't been mistreated.

It looks to me like he was released on April 6th.
