Friends in the Pentagon tell me that Karpinski is going to get both barrels. She is up for Court Martial, and her media statements are going to be used against her to define dereliction of duty.

I agree with you. In addition to her evident lack of supervising these yahoos, it was brought out today that she claims certain areas of the prison were off limits to her (I guess at the orders of "intelligence", is her tall tale), and Taguba said flat out he found NO evidence that was the case and he does not believe her. He more or less said she lied. Not a good omen for Karpinski, IMO.

I haven't been able to watch much of this, but from some of the comments it looks like maybe the Republicans are on fire today.
