Cambone: Miller laid out a series of recommendations to Gen. Sanchez. Would set conditions for interrogation. Underscored need for MP and MI to act so that one did not undermine the efforts of the other. Underscored the need for legal review of recommendations. Miller noted "safe, humane environment." Recommended MP under 205th MI brigade. Sanchez did so. Gave a senior officer responsibility. Did not give MI authority over MP operations.

I know people who've served with MG Fast (MI), and I've read some not-so-favorable press about BG Karpinski (MP).

Karpinski is toast, and Fast is going to suffer for this but I don't think as much. She is coming to be the commander at my Post (Ft. Huachuca), so we'll see.
