Because you CHOSE to go to a eatery that allows smoking. Don't like it - don't go. And, BTW - I have NEVER smoked. The smell makes me nauseous. But, I will still defend anyones right to smoke. It's called freedom.
No, you don't have the right to force everybody else to comply with your personal preferences. I may not like your shampoo. Maybe the trees in your yard give me allergies....can I cut them all down???

You are right.

I hereby appologize for the gun, and you are free to go on about your business.

BTW ... here's your wallet back.

AppyPappy's comments are proof that smoking DOES, indeed, kill off brain cells!! As if it weren't bad enough for the customers, the poor servers have to endure it for hours on end.

"I should be forced to inhale your smoke because?"

Your rights take precedence over my rights because...?

Will you give up your self-righteousness when they come for your:

(a) Gun
(b) Fast Food
(c) SUV
(d) Money [read: taxes]
(e) Freedom of Speech
(f) Freedom of Religion
(g) Children
(h) All of the above

Oh...they've already done, or, are doing, all of that...

Well, look at it this way, when we're all in socialist bread lines to survive, at least you'll have the satisfaction that no one is smoking...that would hurt your chances for starving to death.

Meanwhile, that chipping sound you hear is the left, incrementally eroding your rights as an American. Losing which item/possession/freedom will make you finally stand up?

BTW, I've known "social smokers" who light up one after another at parties, etc...but NEVER INHALE. Even our previous commander-in-chief "didn't inhale"...so why would you, as an obvious non-smoker, make and effort to inhale other peoples' smoke? Some people would slam their thumb with a hammer, just so they could bitch about the pain.

...you were too ignorant to avoid me when you saw me smoking in a privately owned establishment that chose to accomodate you non smokers by installing non-smoking areas and expensive air filtration systems.

But alas, no matter how much you were accomodated it wasn't enough for you was it?

You and your ilk have been demanding for the past 25 years now and we have accomodated you at every turn. Maybe that is the reason we are sick and tired of hearing the whining from you a&&holes........

I have yet to meet a whiner face to face............
