Ahh, I like the M1A, but I wish to God that Springfield would offer an "entry level" model for under a thousand, at least, like Armalite is doing with the AR-180B. I'm on a TIGHT budget, with Mrs. Cut as a stay-at-home mom on E-6 pay.

I need the total package (rifle, case, at least 5 mags, and some ammo) to come in under a thousand or it's no go.
