Guess I'll be one of the few...

Hack did nothing wrong in helping to being this story to 'light'.

The United States has a serious problem in one part of a prison in Iraq....and there may be more 'problems' elsewhere. Bringing them to light can make it a little rough for awhile...but the United States and it's Military CAN weather it...because we (as a Nation) have always stood for something better than the rest of the world. Just because the rest of the world does wrong things to THEIR prisoners...doesn't mean that we should just sweep things like this under the rug.

It's better to have it out in the open.

..and IF those MP's get convicted....I hope they have a long stretch at Leavenworth.

Bringing them to light? They have been brought to light. The whole thing was under investigation, and Gn Kapinski had been removed from the prison. Now, SOMEBODY wasn't satisfied with that. The NY Times has us believing that this is nothing more than a nasty defense case, like OJ's, where the defense plays fast and loose with "disclosure". I think it's a bit MORE than that.

Hack knew that people were being investigated, the commander relieved, people detained. The pictures hurt our forces in harm's way. Hack wasn't revealing anything that had not been announced by Cent Com. Pictures sensationalized it

A criminal investigation was onging.Release of the pictures may harm the prosecution, unduly prejudicing the ones who stand in judgement and the defense will use that.

Hack did it because he hates the war, the Pentagon, Rumsfield. The harm to men and women in uniform, particularly those in Iraq seem not a matter of concern to him. He is a self aggrandizing, bitter man.
