My opinion of the military reserve system is just that. I didn't ask you to give a oath of allegence to it. Nor do I expect you to ask the same of me for your opinion.

General Schoomaker gave Senator Chambliss a severe admonition yesterday when he percieved Saxby inferred that the problem at the prison was endemic to a Guard/Reserve unit. He made it clear that the Regular, Guard and Reserve units have the same level of expectations in terms of training, discipline and excellence ... and if that particular unit had some command or system failure it would be identified and fixed.

He's a good Army Chief. I like the Acting Secretary too. He's a retired Colonel with a Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
