Rumsfeld immediatelypicked up on her reference and was very blunt in his response. Interesting that Rumsfeld would gather more information than the "fact finding investigatory panel" of 1/4 of the entire United States Senate.
It's amazing what you can learn when you ask questions to find out information, and when you listen to people to understand what they are saying, rather than grandstanding to the cameras for a shot at the veep spot on the ticket.

Rumsfeld's success has been in his ability to clearly communicate and respond in a forthright manner.
Only a few in an one-on-one setting would have picked up, as fast as he did, that slip by Hillary! as she sort of rambled on.
She was unprepared by that response, and was visably shaken afterwards.
