Since you brought that revealation to the sharing circle, I respond by saying I thought ABBA was kind of cool with their charming hooks and harmony. But I draw the line with ABBA. I don't like The Carpenters or any of that other smarmy 70s poppy stuff. Give me three chords and a cloud of dust. To quote Sterling Morrison of the Velvet Underground, "I like my music STUPID!"
