Well, it's the only way the old battle-axe could get at least some military "credentials." Hey, it's not like she went to Vietnam and scammed some medals for superficial scrapes and scratches...

Bought a super-8 and reenacted favorite moments and had to beg Reagan's Navy Sec. to upgrade one.
I loved how Rumsfeld scared her. She probably hasn't been that intimidated by a man since her mean Daddy tossed softballs at her in Grant Park all those years ago.
