First, can you imagine what a blow to morale that would be for the troops, seeing their SECDEF run out of town by a bunch of quislings and enemy sympathizers in the media and the Treason Party? Because that's exactly how it would be portrayed.
Second, what do you suppose the chances are that Tiny Tommy Dasshole and the preening Senate assclowns on your TV will let any Bush SECDEF appointment get through them (Hint: they're somewhere between Slim and None, and Slim just left town)?
