Iraq Tour dialogue 2075 AD:
Mommy what used to be there.
A prison honey.
What happened to it?
Mommy: they toew it down.
Why mommy?
Mommy: some terrorist suspects had their pooters touched and they had to take their clothes off.
So mommy, why did they tear down the whole prison?
People were backwards in those days honey, let's go tour the palace.

To not do that would have seemed cockey. I'm sure it sounded disconcerting but remember what the President has said. People on the left and the right live thier days by soundbites.
JMO, that happens more on the left, but some on the right are not immune to such conditioning.

Chambliss: Tear down Abu Graib. One thing leaders sometimes do is hide behind underlings. But Rumsfeld came in and admitted mistake was made and he will correct mistake shows what kind of leader he is. I commend you. I commend you on selection of General Miller. Observed interrogations on Gitmo; Miller did correct problems there.
General Rider made report based on October visit. That's when alleged atrocities took place. Rider said he wasn't told. Atrocities occured on night shift? Failure in chain of command. Hope you will address.
Re guards trained to guard and in GC provisions. But these guards were not trained. Hope you're improving training, esp. for reservists. Reserve brigade - poor leadership and poor training. Failure in chain of command. Must assure that there's no good ol' boy system in the U.S. Army. Must get to the bottom, corrective action, criminal action. Failure in keeping info from Rumsfeld.
Rumsfeld: Investigations must go forward, respecting rights but reflecting gravity. Does not matter one whit where it falls.
Smith: Reserve unit must be on same standard as regular.
Chamblis: Tagabu report says reserve unit did not receive the same training.

Why doesn't someone ask:"Weren't there more civilians injured, humiliated and murdered at Waco and Ruby Ridge than in the Iraqi prisons?"
Too bad no one asked for Janet Reno's impeachment.
Seems like it's OK to kill our own but we have to treat Muslim terrorists with kid gloves.
IF there had been severe action taken against Reno and the BAFT, would we have had the Oklahoma bombing? Why don't we have a huge, public Senate hearing on that?
These people are horse patooties. Has anyone informed them that we are at war?

"Would it help the situation if the President were to step down?"That's what I thought Bayh was working up to, but he either lost his train of thought or decided in midstream it wasn't a good idea.

"Does anyone recall the announcement a couple of weeks ago that the DNC has a hit list with dates on who to go after when????
The first week was 'Get VP Cheney week" and of course it failed miserably. This must be 'Get Sec. Rumsfeld week" and I hope it's just as successful. Hee hee
I can't help but reach for the tinfoil when I see those pictures. Just tooooo convenient.

These liberals have been after "Rummy" since the day he took that position of Secretary of Defense. That "bottom - up review" he initiated really ticked offffffff Hillry's generals.
This is more than just "getting" Rummy, this affects the whole military.
Here goes the itch that was in country during this time frame, wonder if she supplied the cameras.....
To: petercooper
Hillary will be in trouble if she begins to lose that memory of hers. I see the eyes are waining.
