If this does happen, I maintain that in a very short period of time a General Franks scenario will take hold and martial law if not implemented fully, will certainly see most Middle Eastern males being rounded up and detained. This will lead to calamity between the executive and judicial branches of government and result in a suspension of our Constitutional Rights. The degree of suspension will depend on the frequency and the severity of the terrorist attacks.

Nope, it's actually an excellent strategy. No matter what happens here (WMDs or regular bombs), we won't turn the Middle East into glass. We'll just comfort ourselves by saying we could have done it.
If I was a psycho Islamist I'd begin a series of grinding attacks in July and continue them through October. That way my allies in the Demoncratic party would have time to drive home the message that Bush is a failure because he didn't protect us from terrorism. Doing it too close to the election would catch the Demoncrats off guard (though they have already had brainstorming sessions on how to profit from such an attack).
It'd be kinda nice if any such incident resulted in the automatic atomization of Mecca and Medina and the elimination of one false religion (who'd be fighting for "'allah" then?). But of course, the Arabs are the darlings of the liberal media elite now.

Me neither. We already fill guilty for defeating Japan in World War II, we're beginning to feel guilty for defeating Italy in the same war, and who knows who else we're going to feel guilty for defeating in a little while.

I heard Rush say that same thing sometime ago. I hope it is true, although I hope there is no attack, of course, but maybe this time, the American people will scream so loud for revenge, that it may just happen as you say.
