In the Clintonista world, two phrases were operative. The first was, "I apologize for ---". The second was, "I take responsibility for-----". The press was satisfied and went on to other things. I do not equate Pres Bush saying he is sorry about what happened with an apology. That may be on the way tho. It would not be a deal breaker for me if he does go all the way. I will vote for him regardless. Whatever the President thinks needs to be done to save this country from war on our soil is fine by me. An apology is lost on our enemies as well as our media and is therefore meaningless anyway. Rush comes as close as anyone to expressing how I feel about this whole situation and I give him the same latitude as I do President Bush. My gut reaction was disappointment but the larger picture is always the goal.
