"It's easy to pooh-pooh John Kerry's humble origins, but You're overlooking the initiative, hard work and dedication it takes to marry a wealthy heiress. (Twice!)"Yes I agree, that must be exhausting work...look at the muscles he's got in the above pic!

"I didn't notice the training-wheels until the third or fourth time I looked at the pic."LOL...I didn't notice them until UB355 pointed them out. They were overshadowed by those matchstick limbs!

Actually, I've read that Steve Forbes and his family are not related to Kerry's Forbes.

You don't need permission to drop anchor in Hadley Harbor. They don't want you going ashore but there is nothing they can do about boats sailing around the island. There is another spot on the island that is pretty but I can't remember its name. If you do get a chance to sail around there be sure to stop at Cuttyhunk. It's in the Elizabeth Island chain. Bring your own wine to have with the fresh swordfish you can buy from the local fishermen.God's place.BTW judging from your homepage you must live near/in Cambridge. It seems every third person there is a Forbes. They're all over the place.Befriend one of them and you might get an invite to Naushon. Bring Deet.

I'm guessing that if Steve Forbes ever captured the GOP nomination, this would be the central theme of the press coverage of his campaign. From the article: There is no connection between the descendants of Archibald Forbes and the family that publishes Forbes magazine, which was founded by Bertie Forbes.

The Forbes magazine folks aren't related to the Boston Forbes.

I am assuming you need prior permission to visit one of their harbors. Not if your anchoring. Property rights don't extend past the waters edge.

It always amazes me how much obfuscation and ignorance still exists in this world. Google is still not rocket science. That being said, I’m really surprised to see anyone making comments or presumably write “facts” regarding something they obviously no nothing about. John Forbes Kerry is not a direct descendent of John Murray Forbes, but of his uncle. J.M. Forbes amassed much of his fortune investing in early railroad development. Naushon is taxed as agricultural, because Naushon is a working farm. That’s not Rocket Science either. It’s obvious to me that you and your redcoat cohorts are envious with the families of Naushon, and the stewardship of the land they love. Oh, and by the way, there are three beaches the forbes so generously open to the public, as well as Bull Island. Although I can’t understand why, since they end up cleaning the garbage the public so generously leaves behind. By the way, redcoat is not capitalized, unless you’re talking about the actual “Redcoats”, and we all know about how they ended up, penniless and slaveless. The only peasants I see here are you and your co-horts.
