Why don't you address the point I made?
Ok, Kerry is a putz and a clumsy one at that.
Was there a story involved that blamed his clumsiness on a pretzel?
It's a yes or no................
From my point of view, the issues that apply to what is best for Americans have nothing to do with prior military service, bike riding, falling down and blaming a pretzel, medals, national guard attendence, family wealth and where it came from, or vocabulary shortcomings.
Yet these are the issues that are presented for our consumption.
Does either candidate have a plan for replacing the Social Security Ponzi scheme?
Does either candidate have a plan for a reduction in the size and scope of government?
Does either candidate have a plan for securing OUR borders?
Forgive me for making fun of what is presented to us as important, but most of it is "not important".
Get it now?

If this reading material is beneath you....then why are you here? The folks here are just letting off a little steam, so ease up okay.

I agree with you, but in the television age it is relevant that Kerry (who will be in our face 24/7) is an unlikeable, accident prone schmuck.
George H. W. tossing his cookies at the Japanese wasn't imortant, but it just might have cost him the presidency.
I wish we could discuss substantive things, but who knows Kerry's Soc security plan. You can bet that reform is too tricky, and the status quo will remain intact.
Immigration reform won't happen by either. Kerry doesn't want to offend hispanics and he knows that it's in his interest to keep it going-- they vote for him. Bush won't do it in the name of compassionate conservatism and to placate big business.
And in the age of terror, it looks like smaller gov't is out.
so it's fun to talk about the trivia.
