A few months after September 11th, some "artist" attached little boxes with wires trailing from them to the walls of several Subway stations.

The world is full of jerks. Maybe this was just another one.

He always answers prayers, but the answer may not coincide with our wishes and timeline. His response to our prayers is in accordance with His will and His Eternal Plan for each of His children.

And the Scriptures and our lives are replete with examples that attest to the fact that He often works through mortals, righteous and often quite "ordinary" to carry out His will on earth, in that to show Himself too frequently and overtly would be to lessen our free agency........

Most of the areas mentioned do not have cameras. Your suggestion to have them in all public places is as repugnant to me as the terrorist are. Then again I'm just a conservative who doesn't believe in some government geek being able to track my every move.

In fact, cameras are being located in increasing numbers of places by private security agencies for their own reasons. Of course, with police and court powers, government will be able to get access to the results of this surveillance activity. Repugnant or not, whenever you are in "public" spaces (and many not-so-public spaces), remember to "smile" - - because you are (or increasingly likely to be) on candid camera.

I stated this as "a lesson learned", not intending it to be taken as a suggestion (though I can easily understand how it would be taken that way). Lessons are being learned by many who do not have the same background and interest in preserving privacy as you and me. These may be the "wrong" lessons; they are being learned nevertheless.
