In this regard, China is smart.

In our country, we are allowing a call to prayer to be played over loudspeakers.

Only problem is they're replacing Islam with Communist Atheism.

The ChiComs have used the same tactics against Tibetan Buddhism which truly is a "peaceful and loving" religion.

"The Uighur people are wild and rude," an army general explains during a flight to Xinjiang. "But in the future the Uighurs will be like the Manchus, assimilated by the Chinese, because the Chinese culture is much stronger."

Nobody ever thinks this way in the west anymore, but they probably should.

"Beijing was so disturbed by the violence of the 1990s that it responded with a systematic campaign to quell Muslim agitation with a calculated mix of economic incentives, shrewd diplomatic manoeuvring, and brutal police and military intervention."

I vote for brutal police and military intervention.

But the cry goes almost unheard. Prohibited from using an amplifier, the muezzin is barely audible above a nearby loudspeaker pumping out government propaganda.

Bump.

Once Muslims are introduced into a non-Muslim society, someone's bound to end up living in fear. It might as well be them.

Yes, a non-PC, clear understanding of one's own identity and culture is becoming rare in the west. Let's see what this quote would look like if said by a PC American general:

"Islam is a religion of peace. We have to recognize and value the unique characteristics of the Uighur people," an army general explains during a flight to Washington. "Diversity is strength, and we must understand that our cultures are equal, and neither is superior. We must win the hearts and minds of the Uighur, lest we embolden the Uighur terrorists. Did I mention that Islam is a religion of peace?"

Well, it's just for the better if this Ushgurs reject Mohammedanism and embrace the new Chinese materialism. We all know that Mohammedanism is an obstacle for cultural advancement and economic prosperity.

The Chinese, like all communists, are anti-religious, and they certainly won't stand for sedition and rebellion. The fact of the matter is that totalitarian regimes are much better able to deal with internal dissent than are democracies, at least in the sense that they can just go in there and smash things up. There is no due process there.

Its sad to compare the efficient approach Thailand and China have taken in dealing with Islamists to our PC ways. The West has had a suicide wish since WW2.

No, actually it's not a suicide wish. It's guilt associated liberalism.

China also takes this approach to Christians.

Sometimes even a stopped clock is right.

China has cracked down on all religions, and in this instance happened to hit one that is a death cult.

We in America should be far more selective.

Let's nail just the death cult, and let the tolerant religions flourish.

Is this too sensible?
