I'd like to see his "apology" but from this article, "insensitive" is not going to cut it.

Agreed. A Nationwide apology to the family would be a start. But what about the editor? He or she bears some responsibility as well..

Interesting word usage. He still thinks he's right about a 'rambo getting what he deserved'. He's just 'apologizing' for not expressing it more acceptably.
