He (Foreman) responded: "We want full equality under the law, which, right now, means the freedom to marry. These people already have full equality under the law, and they already have the freedom to marry. They just don't have the separate, unequal, and exclusive right to marry each other.

2% of the population really should be careful about continually sticking a sharp stick into the eye of the normal majority. Sooner or later, our patience with their perverse antics is going to run out.
Sooner or later, we're going to take out the trash.

I wonder when the homosexuals who disagree with this tactic will speak up.
Indeed!

"But we're also hopeful that we create different ways in which people can form relationships and families that don't come with all the baggage and the downsides of marriage. One of the great things about where we're going is that we are creating new ways for people to relate, new ways for people to obtain rights and benefits."
I don't think I am overly paranoid to believe that what is being talked about in rather unambiguous terms above is a change in acceptable (from the standpoint of the law) configurations, or a range of "acceptable" configurations of marriage so that it can be recognised for the sake of obtaining benefits.
Could it be that marriage will possibly contain more than two in a mix and match sort of scenario?
Two homosexuals, a bi-sexual and a transgender?
And whoever is holding the Blue Cross Blue Shield card gets to add everyone else?
Or the other marriage "partners" get the inheritance before lesser related blood relatives?
Just brainstorming where "But we're also hopeful that we create different ways in which people can form relationships and families...." and "new ways for people to obtain rights and benefits." will lead.
It seems though that if this is anything like what could take place it will be next to impossible without a good, strong socialist infrastructure.
