Commanders say they go to great lengths to avoid civilian casualties, but they acknowledge they do not know how many civilians have died in recent attacks. Pilots concede that in at least one case, an American warplane mistakenly bombed the wrong building in Falluja.


Ah, the NY Times....... they just don't understand.....maybe I can help.......IT'S A WAR!!!!!!

They are just reporting a simple fact that anyone, who knows anything about war, knows to be true, i.e. accidents happen and there's collateral damage.

I can't help the fact that I was born here. I don't agree with the politics of the NY Times. If I post articles of the Times that involve politics, then it's either to expose or mock them. That doesn't include OpEd columnists Bill Safire or David Brooks who are not lefties by a long shot.

Why did you need to make that remark, because it's from the Times or New York? Be advised that the rest of the the world looks at America the same way that America looks at New York. Just look at how the NY Yankees are hated.
