All these complicated factors appear to be a screen for a simple number: percentage of minorities.
Mississippi may be hell on earth for human beings, but it has a well deserved reputation as heaven on earth for lawyers.
Hence no obstetricians and trauma care. No industry either. Everyone productive chased out of the state by the parasitic shyster industry. Business wouldn't go near this liability legal hell-hole with a ten foot pole.
Mississippi's only hope is massive tort reform ASAP.
