Hey cajungirl! I too am from cajun blood. Although it must have been extremely painful for our ancestors to endure the pain of being exiled, it turned out great in the long run. For this, I wish to thank the British for doing us cajuns a favor and moving us from a place far worse than Louisiana, which is Canada.
I know of many great, hard working, and prosperous cajuns who have bucked the ancient trend of populism and defeatism. There is still good money to be made in Louisiana, and wish the best for those who choose to stay and seek political change. Louisiana has enormous potential to be a great and prosperous state. The fact that it isn't makes it an enormous tragedy.
