Did Koppel ever read the names and show pictures of the victims of 9-11? If not, I must question his motives. (sarcasm)

Didn't I hear that Koppel's dad had a radio program during WW2 and that Herman Goring paid money out of his own pocket if Koppel's dad read all the names of the American dead at the Normandy invasion? Koppel's dad attempted to make a similar deal with Tojo about Iwo Jima but they couldn't reach a agreement on price because Tojo thought the show ratings were actually much lower. Somebody should ask Ted if this is true.
