You must notta been there. Everyone in Nam knew about the three purple heart rule. I saw guys sticking arms and legs out of bunkers hoping to get one a then 'million dollar' wounds. You had to be there...

I searched his papers and can find no supporting data/paperwork for his first PH. The second (a 'wound in the left thigh - no lost time that I can find) third are apparently miniscule, and he was sent back to duty from sick call on the third, with no followup treatment, and a pronosis of 'excellent' (a scratch on the arm and butt).

But no one even willing to report the first incident on his evaluation report covering the 2 dec 68 'incident'.
