Southack, I have to agree. I just listened to the video clip and frankly, it just sounded like sensational reporting from FoxNews. Even though the anchor did a good job with contrasting the guests point by presentingpositive aspects of Kerry's military service, it really just sounded a lot like a Michael Jackson/Kobi Bryant story.
Which could just be chalked up to poor taste on the part of the media, except that the RATS tie all these stories to the Republicans and there comes a point where the public will start feeling sympathy for the victim.
I don't think Bush/Cheney has actually pushed this subject, but I do think they'd better be careful to tread very lightly.
All that said, the real story about John Kerry's post Nam days isn't the medals, but what he testified to the Senate committee, his dealings with Hanoi and his involvment in VVAW and their schemes. If/when those stories come out, I think we will see Kerry topple like Saddam's statue, but as for now we shouldn't hope that he topples too soon.
