MESSAGE OF THE AFTERNOON/EVENING TO PENNSYLVANIA CONSERVATIVES
Get out and vote Toomey.
I am kind of surprised about the reports that US Rep. Toomey seems to be carrying Lancaster County by a slim margin, 52-48
Toomey needs to rack up a good margin in Lancaster County, so that he can afford to bleed a little on Specter turf in Philly.
So if youre a Penn. Republican, quit reading the Corner and go vote Toomey.
Toomey also needs huge margins in York and Harrisburg to offset anticipated Specter wins in the Philly surburbs.

Bush lost with Specter on the ticket.
Since when do Senators have 4 year terms honey? Read the constitution. They serve for 6 years. Bush was elected 4 years ago. If Specter is up for reelection this year it means he last ran in 1998.

Thanks TM for the update, I am from Chester County and we had three votes from this family for Toomey. We think Toomey is by far the better man! Sick of Specter, he is a lying ex-democrat, with the lawyer crowd in his back pocket, GO TOOMEY!!!

It would also mean someone nearly as obstructionist as Leahy would not be in charge of Judicary for the next two years.
Yeah, Orin Hatch.

The problem with using Arlen to help Bush is that nobody shows up to vote for Arlen Specter. Nobody. He gets the votes because "well, you know, he's not so extreme". Toomey will increase both Democrat and Republican turnout, but the Democrats are already enraged.
It should be said that Toomey is not running a destructive campaign. He's being above board, dealing with the issues and not making the kind of charges against Specter that Specter is making against him. If Toomey wins, he'll be in a very good position.

Let's hope so!!!! He's a good man. Cannot stomach another Specter term, no way!

Toomey is a great candidate. If Dubya hadn't been supporting Specter as strong as he has it would be a runaway.

Just voted ( for Toomey ) on Main street in Manayunk. The table worker yelled over to the booth worker REPUBLICAN and gave me a dirty look like I was double dating with Michael Jackson. Kinda made my day.

I could care less about that though since Bush already won office without PA. Think about what you said. What does "I could care less" mean?

If Specter is up for reelection this year it means he last ran in 1998.And 1992. Guess which presidential candidate won PA that year? Clinton even got fewer votes than Specter's opponent.
To: ClintonBeGone
I answered my own question. Clinton did indeed take Pennsylvania from Bush in 1992. With Specter on the ticket.
