Specter learns nothing from the close victory. WPVI-6 Philly interviewed a witch from Republican Choice Coalition a little while ago, talking about how social conservatives have ruined the party. I just wish us social conservatives had REALLY ruined Specter's "victory" party tonight by making Toomey the winner - but the GOP in Montco, Bucks, and the rest of SE PA, well, the GOP just sucks there. They can't win anything.

BUT - let's all kiss and make up. I think Specter will beat Hoeffel in November, and that Bush SHOULD win PA.

I'm afraid that Specter will lose in November. He's vulnerable now so this is one state where the Dems can help their Senate chances. Hoeffel will get more votes in Philly than Lynn Yeakel got (he does represent part of it) and a good number of Toomey voters won't vote for Specter. So Bush and Santorum just lost this Senate seat.

Right! Specter running is a net plus for Bush in PA. Also, every seat in the Senate counts. There are always a RINO or two there ready to bolt, so we need at least 52 seats. Specter should win comfortably in November.
