Your greatest fantasy is to make love to Jim Jeffords, isn't it?

BTW, If I were a PA resident, I would have voted for Toomey. So I am not exactly overjoyed, but I guess it is just my nature not to go into a self pitying crying jag.

I have a feeling you don't realize how bad Specter really is.

Should I be like that every time your stupid state sends another Democrat to Washington?

Yeah, I know. The rotten guy who voted for Rehnquist and Scalia and saved Clarence Thomas. What a horrible guy he is.

As far as Rove goes, it's better to be lucky than good. He got hooked up with a good man (President Bush), and ran against a bunch of incompetents in both 2000 and 2004.

"Stay Tuned For a HUGE Announcement..."

I think it may be an announcement that Toomey intends to seek the PA governorship in 2006. But could it be a call for a recount?

I fully admit that Jersey sucks even worse then PA politically. Our sports teams will destroy yours though.

41,000 in a race of 1,100,000 (over 3%) is a lot of ground to make up in a recount.

Pennsylvania is a lost cause for conservatives this time around; about the best we can there do now is keep it from going RAT in everything INCLUDING name. Wisconsin, however, is a different story (we're still vetting the candidates, and the primary isn't until September).

I'm presuming, you're writing this from the other side of the Delaware from me, so trust me, I understand the effect of the election results.
I also understand what it's like to be a conservative behind enemy lines.
A different perspective - every state Bush wins, isolates the far left further and further to fringes allowing "decent" people of conscience to be drawn back into fill the power vacuum.
How does this help America as a nation? Democrat "moderates" will be forced to work with Republicans on "conservative friendly" legislation and judicial appointments.
The judicial appointments are the brass ring.

Their votes are personal, and when Bush endorses Specter, the bond of trust they have with Bush means they go along.

In other words, people are morons.

Specter now owes Bush and Santorum, at least through 2006. I think he's gotten the message. I wish Toomey had won, but Specter is better than Hoeffel on many issues.

Actually, the latest results I've seen (http://www.nbc10.com/politics/3242632/detail.html) show Specter clinging to a 16,641-vote lead out of 1,038,089 votes cast. It shows 9,347 precincts reporting out of 9,416 total precincts. I have no idea if this includes absentee ballots. I agree that it would be too large of a lead for Toomey to make up . . . unless the fraudulent vote announcement from Bucks County was not an isolated incident.

Okay, let me stop speculating and wait for the "HUGE Announcement."

I will write in Toomey. My vote, my 'choice,'...I am not taking a swig of that RINO KoolAid.

That's actually a very good idea.

Your knuckle scrapping loser Goldwater fan club? I never joined it. I'm a REPUBLICAN.

If you were against Goldwater you must be a moderate or country club Republican. Which I despise worse than demoncrats.

I have always believed my fellow conservatives to be highly intelligent with superior analytical skills, saving their emotions for the home team's heartbreaking loss in the last 5 seconds of the quarter or last inning.
It might have been wiser to focus on the current senator's age and if he should be replaced by a younger, conservative.
Should Senator Spector not survive his full term, he would be replaced by a Democrat.
