I don't agree. Michael Moore just hates himself. Everytime he looks in the mirror. He just hates himself. Everything else is projection. Anyone who would present that kind of external ugliness when he has a choice not to, is a very unhappy soul.

I agree with Hildy that this group is at its core filled with self-loathing. These people hate what they either can't have because others have rejected them or because the have preempted being rejected by rejecting values and lifestyles in a sour grape fashion - they mock families, straights, and anyone who takes his religion seriously (except for Muslims). They pump themselves up by mocking all lovers of America. This makes these losers feel "cool." They are energized by thinking up ways to pull down America and to work to try to discredit anyone who looks or acts clean cut. "Clean cut" frightens them. At the core of their rage is the desire to fit in by becoming conformist denizens and groupies of 1960's Haight Ashbury and the "good old" group actions at UC Berkeley. The peaceniks have evolved into America's school yard bullies.
