Excellent article.
Question: Did Aristotle believe in a god/gods or was he an atheist?

I find it curious that a belief in a god/gods is deemed important in judging a persons life and/or philosophy.

You should find it curious. It makes a big difference between an ancient and a modern.

Generally speaking, the human thinker was different in those times. A difference sometimes underscored by the terms ancient and modern. Aristotle was ancient, Kant and Rand are modern. The author sniffs this out a little bit when he says Rand finds fault with Aristotle's metaphysics.
