It just shows that there are many uninformed people among the conservative ranks, just as there are the uninformed among the liberals.

Didn't something like 34 to 38 percent of the "Christian right" allegedly vote to reelect the Clinton-Gore electors in 1996? Dole and Kemp did not attract some of these voters.
