I hope Specter goes down, and when he does, Santorum, Bush, Frist and all the rest better fight for Toomey twice as hard as they're fighting for Specter now.

I really couldn't care less if Specter's seat goes to the Democrat. Specter is practically a Democrat already. So what, so he caucuses with the Republicans, that's it. The rest of his votes are more important than his caucus vote.

Specter losing to Toomey, regardless of if Toomey wins or not will serve as a lesson for turncoat Republicans who feel more at home with Democrats.

But he does vote for a GOP leadership.

I disagree: the very worst scenario would be if Toomey beats Specter, then Toomey is beaten by some Dim dweeb.

The media then would shout from the rooftops how Pa wa s "rejecting conservative values" and "conservatives can't win".

I agree. Specter is no better than Jim Jeffords, and if we lose trying to win, so be it...America can't be held hostage by RINOs.

That crowd has a real hard time supporting conservatives. When Mark Neumann won the Wisconsin Pubbie primary for Senate in '98 in sort of an upset, the establishment (i.e. former Governor and current HHS Secretary Tommy Thompson) didn't lift a finger or a dollar to support Neumann, who went on to lose controversially to Russ (Slimeroad) Feingold (yes, THAT Slimeroad).

If Specter's seat goes to the Democrat, George W. Bush will probably lose the Presidential election.

Anyone wanting Bush to be re-elected better hope Specter or Toomey wins that seat.
