My kids go to a private school and peanut products are verboten.

With all due respect, if that school is showing no more intelligence than a public school, why in God's name are you paying extra for it?

Is it intelligent to risk the lives of some children just so others can eat peanuts?

The problem is exposure can sneak up on the person.I know of a man who had a reaction from shaking hands with another man who had been boiling peanuts at a trade show.This man carries an adrinalin syringe with him all the time.He can not even have a bag of nuts opened in his presence.
