It's losing money and is considered a flop. I liked the movie and except for a few "90's" lines thought it was well done.

Not sure how much it's grossed. I wonder why there is not much interest? It was well done, though I suspect perhaps it kind of diminished some of the heros reputations, David Crockett, Houston and Travis especially. I did think Billy Bob Thornton was very good. Maybe I'll have to take a trip down to Texas and see the Alamo. Not knowing much about it, is the Alomo actually within the city, or is it still relatively undeveloped land where it stands?
