Those rapid fire 5s were pretty good too.
I was impressed by how quickly the shell casing piled up on the deck out side the turret - and by the speed which a tree line or bunker would disappear.

Those would be the 5"54's. Our ship, commissioned at the end of WWII, had the 5"38's. Manual load twin barrel.
We had confirmed kills of hundreds of yards of tree line and a Water Buffalo :-}
