Exactly. Kerry ran for Deputy Governor under Dukakis and then ran for Senator in 1984. Lehman was SecNav at the time. I think it would really be interesting to find out why Kerry requested them. He has denied that he threw his own medals away, only some medals for some friends and his ribbons. It would not play well politically to find out that he indeed did throw away his medals, since he has now become a proud war hero.
