Well, I signed up to be invited to the one next Thursday, but then the site prompted me submit my info to host a party. Strange set up....I really hate the poll at the bottom. They really limited the choices as to what issues are most important.
It says:

Click here to tell us the issues that are most important to you.
Compassion Energy Homeland Security
Economy Environment National Security
Education Health Care Social Security

Of course National Security is important, but what happened to tax cuts, tax reform, spending cuts and deregulaton?

LOL!
The SAME THING happened to me, the FIRST time that I subnitted a request for an invitation.

I thought that it was just ME. :o)

(Then I sent in a SECOND request, and THAT one went through O.K.)
This GWBush website is not quite as "user-friendly" as the one that JF'nK inherited from the Dean-iacs.

Kerry National Headquarters Sicks Cops on Freepers,
Kristinn to Be On Fox News This Afternoon

D.C. Chapter of FR ^ | 4/17/04 | L_von_Mises

The DC Chapter of Free Republic set up a Viet-Cong Vets for Kerry bake sale in front of Democrat Presidential candidate John Kerry's national headquarters in Washington DC this afternoon. The Kerry campaign responded by calling the D.C. police to shut down the bake sale.

When the D.C. police arrived they ordered the DC Chapter to shut down the protest in 15 minutes or they would ticket them for occupying a public space without a permit. At that point the police would then disperse them themselves.

Due to the short notice, and the fact that it would be a small group, the DC Chapter did not apply for a permit.

Kristinn is scheduled to appear on Fox News this afternoon for an in-studio interview. The interview should air sometime between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm today. As more details become available, they will posted here.

Kudos to those that attended.
The honor roll is Kristinn, Angelwood, TGSLTakoma, TBP, Trueblackman, and Staytrue.

From http://action.moveonpac.org/bakesale/:

On Sat., April 17, all across the country, thousands of people will organize bake sales to raise money for MoveOn PAC's campaign to Take Back the White House. While George Bush raises money mostly from wealthy donors, we will demonstrate the broad-based grassroots support supporting MoveOn PAC and John Kerry.

Whether you can organize an event, bake something, or help out selling things, we can use your help. If you create a new bake sale, others may sign up to help. If there is already a bake sale in your neighborhood, you can sign up to help with it, or hold your own.
Click here to schedule a new event.

Sell 100 cookies, brownies, or pieces of pie--you're a Pioneer!
If you top 200 items sold, you're a Ranger.

And all you have to do is find a place to hold it and some friends to help you bake things.
See--it's a piece of cake!

You can't contact the party person by yourself either since they only give the first name.

I sent in my request a month ago to be invited and haven't heard thing.

I guess I will just submit 4 requests in a row...

I sure as heck don't have the time to have my own party.
