And I'm thankful for your father's service.

My problem with Kerry is his bragging, many, many soldiers fought but don't go around claiming themselves to be a hero. Many are but don't see the need to brag about it. I just watched the entire 10 hours of Band of Brothers. Kerry should watch it and humble himself. Most, hell, the majority of Vietnam veterans never got away with only 4 month in country. Kerry had a plan and saw his ticket out well ahead of his three injuries.

Agreed. My Dad flew in 3 wars - WW2 (P-47s & P-51s), Korea (B-26s) and Vietnam (Hueys). He hated war. There is only one picture of him taken in Vietnam - not like Kerry, who went back and re-enacted for the cameras. My Mom told me today that he had 3 Purple Hearts - she doesn't recall the details, but at 82 that is common. The only time he told me about any of his experiences was when we saw Patton & some P-47s flew by...at the Battle of the Bulge, I think. He leaned over and said, "That was me - I flew in the first missions after the weather broke". He was killed in a helicopter crash in Vietnam in '72.

He saw a lot of war, and spoke almost nothing about it. Kerry cannot shut up! Just guessing - but I'll bet my Dad never put himself in for a medal for a wound requiring "bacitracin"!

Exactly. I believe Kerry was so calculating that he decided to serve the most minimal time possible for the sole purpose of collecting a few awards to bolster his political ambitions, then depict himself as a war hero for the rest of his life.

In truth, he's a coward who requested to leave ASAP and left his fellow men behind, then came home and called them murderers.

And this guy wants to be Commander in Chief.
