OMG! From that link:

The campaign could not locate a similar report for Kerry's original Purple Heart. As evidence that Kerry was wounded, Meehan showed The Associated Press a "Sick Call Treatment Record" from Kerry's personal files that included a medic's written note dated Dec. 9, 1968.

"Shrapnel in left arm above elbow. Shrapnel removed and appl bacitracin dressing. Ret to Duty."

Meehan said although Kerry could have asked to stay in Vietnam, it was the Navy's decision to request that he be reassigned. Kerry left the country in early April 1969.

Another LIE!

I loved your description of Kerry's Purple Heart wound.

I had 5 kids and injuries similiar to Kerry's were commonplace.

Really? Return to Duty? Wow... that sure doesn't sound much like WAR HERO material to me. My brother came home in a body cast from Vietnam from the chest down to his ankles. Now, THATs an injury. He was shredded with shrapnel. It still didn't keep him down. He healed, became an active Police Seargent and finished college and makes a great living now. He can't STAND Kerry!

A few days ago there was a thread about a guy who had seen the wound and that rose bushes caused worse. To top it off, there had been no reports of combat that day so...
