Considering that the Sun makes up 99% of the solar system's mass, and Jupiter makes up over 90% of the remainder, I don't think the Sun would even burp after swallowing that comet.

Another one is that this comet has been travelling billions of years from the deepest reaches of the universe, carrying a large amount of some unknown element (I'd like to call it "unsunium"), that has the capability of snuffin' da sun. Science fiction, or science fact? We'll soon find out.
