"Iraq is far more powerful and a far greater threat than Iran or Saudi Arabia. Its actions over the last 20 yrs show just how great a threat it was to its neighbors and its own people"

If you think Iraq was a greater danger than Iran, and Saudi Arabia, you are either misinformed by Fox network, or rather blindly follow Bush.

in the past 20 years Iraq had a proxy war for us against the Ayatollah Khomeini. We gave Saddam lots of help to mess with the fanatic Moslems of Iran. We rewarded him by having full diplomatic relation AFTER he had poisoned radical Islamic insurgency. After he invaded Kuwait with the approval of our ambassador (Gillespie) we reduced his arm force to practically nothing, bombed him occasionally, and imposed a sanction that humiliated him in front of his public. He had no supporters, so he wanted to gain Moslem Arab support; accordingly, he had to play their tune of being against Israel, and to support Islamic Jihad. In other words Saddam, the bad dictator was not a foaming at the mouth Islamic fanatic type he acted like one toward the last year in power. He was brutal, but not as dangerous to the US as Khomeini, or the Saudis. The Saudis have been spending billions of dollars to promote their hate-filled cult called Wahhabism Islam. You need to read more, and change the channel once in a while from Fox to see the other side of the story. Or may be you are just comfortable with your side of the story at any price?

I blindly follow the truth and have no great reliance upon Fox to obtain it. Fox might have 50% of the truth which isn't perfect but far better than the RATmedia average of 5% truth(baseball scores.)

There is no question that Iraq was a far greater threat as anyone versed in international relations or history would know. Iraq had invaded its neighbors, gassed its own people, undertaken terrorist attacks upon the US homeland, and had an ongoing chemical and biological weapons program. It was much further along in the development of nuclear weapons than Iran and would have had one had Israel not blown up its reaction in the 1980s. It was also in a stand-off with the UN resulting from the Kuwait War.

Iraq was Terror Central and International Terrorism had no chance of being controlled/contained without the removal of Saddam from power. This is why you see the frenzied and desperate attacks within Iraq by terrorists from across the Islamic world. They understand that if Bush has his way in Iraq they are finished.

Iran has done none of these things. It has no modern armed forces (having been cut off from its main supplier, the US, for decades.) It has a restive population which could toss the mullahs in the near future and is just beginning a nuclear research program. This is not to say that it doesn't cause as much trouble for the US as it can while keeping the strings hidden or that we will not have to deal with it militarily. But I don't believe that will be necessary.

It is a LIE that Gillspe gave Saddam a green light of ANY kind to invade Kuwait. This LIE more than likely comes from RATmedia disinformation attempts to prevent the first Gulf War.

Saudi is not a military threat at all and the irritations it generates through its religious insanity can be handled without much difficulty. In fact, for those subtle enough to grasp it, there is great conflict within the Kingdom as indicated by the stance that OBL has taken towards it.
