Al-Jazeera also said it had video footage of Mr Quattrocchi's death, but would not broadcast it, because it was "too gruesome".More like because it would enrage and inspire the Italians. Al-Jazeera knows a defiant Italian would be bad PR for the terrorists.

That was exactly what I was thinking...that his bravery in the face of the cowardly murder at the hands of his muslim captors reflected poorly on the islam.

I agree! Al-Jazero didn't want to show Islamics in a bad light.

For every hostage killed, those countries should pledge to send 10,000 troops.
I feel sorry for the people from the Middle East in Italy now trying to sell those fake purses and other items to send the money back to their fellow terrorists. Italians will treat them worse than they normally do...deservedly so. The Italian police will make sure they are not left alone...good for them.

Remember that one of the left's best propaganda weapons after the Vietnam war was the picture of an NV being executed by a shot to the head. They certainly didn't want such a picture to be a lasting testament to the Iraqi terrorists.
