After just two weeks on the air, Air America Radio, the fledgling liberal talk-radio network featuring Al Franken and Janeane Garofalo, appears to have encountered serious cash-flow problems.
The CHICAGO TRIBUNE is developing a story, insiders tell DRUDGE, on how the network was pulled off the air this morning in Chicago and Los Angeles, the network's second- and third-largest markets, because, the owner of both stations said, the network bounced a check and owes him more than $1 million! A charge the network strongly denies...
A Chicago source familiar with the situation said a Multicultural representative showed up at WNTD's offices Wednesday morning, kicked out Air America's lone staffer overseeing the network's feed to the station from New York, switched over to a Spanish-language feed, and changed the locks on the doors...
Air America filed a complaint Wednesday in New York state Supreme Court charging Multicultural with breaching their contract and seeking an injunction to force Multicultural to restore the Air America broadcast on both stations, the TRIBUNE has learned... Developing...

Liberals have a got a deeper problem than cash flow. Its their product and no one wants to buy it. No wonder liberal talk radio is tanking in the free marketplace of ideas. And they are still looking for the liberal Maha Rushie to help them out of their ratings cellar.

Dang, I just got an email from Sirius Satellite Radio, they are gonna start playing the full ErrAmerica line up.
I was thinking about switching from XMradio to Sirius, but Sirius is actually worse now, they'll have TWO liberal channels, along with two NPR's, cnn, msnbc, etc.
...arg.

After reading that article, the third paragraph was the only part of their story that spoke of truth. The rest of the article was a bunch of typical leftist garbage.

I was going to rejoin XM until they added Air America. I then changed my mind. I did not know Sirrus is making the same mistake. They will never get my money as long as a portion of it will go to Air America. And thats the rub, you pay for Air America even though you only listen to Fox or other more sane and mature channels.

I am absolutely convinced that the purpose of this "network" is to release press releases on what was said.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Al Franken, comedian and host of Air America Radio's popular O'Franken Factor today accused President George W. Bush of being a "not very good president". Using his trademark satire, the very very popular Franken skewered the president's misguided Iraq policy by calling it "misguided" and "a policy".
The O'Franken Factor can be heard in New York City on WLIB AM and on teeth fillings across the country.

This is a rebuttal? "We hate him and we're making fun of his name?" Whose eight-year-old wrote it?

I know that I'm paying for the music, since it is commercial-free, but I assumed that ErrAmerica got its money from the commercials.
Did you think that part of my money is actually going to Franken??
I don't think I could handle that!!

Why do these idiots think they need another radio talk station? They already have NPR, though I would hope not for much longer.

John Kerry can help finance Air America, if he relishes the thought, he might help their finances ketchup.
